From Classroom to Conference Room is a fun, interactive etiquette dinner designed to help UTampa students feel confident stepping into the professional world. Through real-life scenarios, great food, and guided conversation, you’ll learn how to communicate like a pro, make strong first impressions, and handle workplace moments with ease—from your first email to your final follow-up.
You’ll sit alongside UTampa alumni, employer partners, and campus leaders who know exactly what it takes to shine as an intern, or new employee. Each course of the dinner walks you through a different stage of the internship journey, with practical tips, hands-on activities, and insider advice you won’t find in a textbook. Come for the meal, stay for the connections, and leave with the skills (and confidence) to stand out in any conference room.
After registering, you will be redirected to a survey that asks for your information along with any dietary restrictions or needs you may have. Please note that failure to submit a response to this form may result in dietary restrictions or needs that cannot be accommodated. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dr. Monika Alesnik at malesnik@ut.edu
